I can't say I blame you, Patrick. Like BrianG and the others have said, the majority of members here are all for you guys, and the last thing we want to do is put you under any more stress from having to put up with petty whining...but there are some who have to stick their oars in.

I do hope you feel you can post again soon, as I for one enjoy reading your updates on the situation with the MMM...even if it's not good news or inconclusive. You guys must be working flat-out, and be under some strain right now to sort out the whole MMM issue, so reading some stupid critical post isn't going to help.

I hope you start posting again soon, and all the best with bug-hunting on the MMM.

I think 99% of the people appreciate your posts and honesty. I have always and will continue to recommend your products on this and other forums as they have always proved themselves to be a great value and great quality. I have already posted my setup and will gladly help in any way. I would suggest opening a new thread with setups that work so that others can follow. I think there is also a lot of experimentation going on with the 6S possibilities which could be causing some of the issues.

I for one can say I don't want to see you stop posting in the RC-Monster Forum's as well Patrick.
Also please don't take the thread the wrong way I started about your return policy about shipping stuff back to Canada as me whining,I was not mad at you because everytime I have had a PM for you you always helped me out alot ad for that I'm grateful,it just get's me Mad when people who don't live in canada start the stop whining crap and saying stuff like I would'nt be Mad if it took 3 weeks to get my MMM back when I know they would if tey were in my shoe's.I just want you to know that I have always felt you were and are still a First class guy and would hate to see you stop posting here,I would not let the other's that are bashing you make you stop posting I would just shoot down there threads with your replies. Also if you read my joke about the MMM that was not ment as an attack or a Bash I was just trying to have a little fun and was not trying to hurt anyone or your feelings and if I did all I can hope for is that you accept my apology.
I was wondering if you would mind letting us know what you have so far about what is causing the MMM'S to fail as far as setup's go,I have heard that some Battery's are the problem from what a friend told me that was talking to Joe Ford on the phone.

Hi Patrick

I would hate to see you leave also. I have learnt a lot from reading your posts. Your posts are one of the things that keep me coming back to this forum. With you posting on this forum it gives me confidence in your products and your company has fantastic customer service.

Please hang around even if it is just to give updates on the progress of your MMM and other products.

Dear Patrick,

I think that you need to be a little more honest about the problems that exist with the
MMM and that would eliminate alot of the speculation and negativity.
You don't have to reveal specific information to satisfy most customers, and there is
clearly plenty of people here who keep buying your products and want desperately
for the MMM to do what its supposed to.
The failure rate here is about 50% and provided you are using higher cell counts and
no external BEC then you are almost certain for it not to last long.
But the last official word has been that its an isolated problem and its hard to replicate.
This doesn't gel with what we are experiencing here and if thats truly
the case then the air must be different in your building!

So what is really going on?
Fess up and let the fanboys sing your praises

I can understand where Patrick is coming from! I know and understand that this is just a hobby and have tried to get that through some others heads on here that have been bashing CC because of the problems with the MMM. My v1 died and I patientlly waited for my replacement. My failure wasn't the BEC either as the servos still worked. I honestly beleive it was the Feigao motor that took it out. I ordered a Tekno Neu 1515 2.5d to run when I received my replacement. So far after a few hours of running on 4s with this motor I've had no problems and the MMM hasn't reached 130*F yet. I will continue to use my MM and MMM and supprort CC and let others know that I feel this way. I really hope that this doesn't lead to CC leaving the forum as MaxAmps did. I honestly wish they where still on here. Although they get bashed all the time on here I still use my (4) 2s 6000mah packs with success, yes they get warm in the E-REVO, but I'm sure if they had better airflow over them they'd do better. I have enjoyed the posts Patrick has made, esspecially when he went through the manufacturing process step by step telling us exactly what machines where used.

Patrick - I will continue to use and support your products with or without you here, however losing you would be a huge loss to the majority of the forum that appreciates what you have done!!!

Yeah I don't want patrick to go!

I was wary about the MMM but after my bro just got 2 and another friend got one, and they all run internal bec and maximum voltage and hours on end and cant manage to replicate any of this nonsense I read about (one of them is even running in big super heavy savage xl - starting to move away from 8th scale lol). Until I hear about BrianG inexplicably killing one then I'll continue to believe its setup related (as I always have...).

I hope you reconsider not posting anymore. I am interested on how problems with the MMM are being investigated. I, being an MMM owner, would like to help in anyway I can. I'd be willing to let you guys use my setup to investigate issues. (my 2nd v2 is being mailed soon, i think/hope )

My setup is;
Erevo
tekno neu 1515/1y
2 3s 4300 20-30c batteries in series for 6s

I appreciate the info you have given here in the past.
I'd hate to have you quit posting because of the negative few here.
Hope you change you mind.

I can certainly say I appreciate your info here. I have been quite frustrated at my experience thus far.. I have gone through a few MMM's.
You want my set up, I'll gladly send it to you. Since the 2 MMM's I purchased are dead, I won't be running my truck for the near future.
If it will help... Let me know.

Not my fault...

The one thing that Partick has always done is tell the truth and be honest. I cannot fault him for that. He is obviously not stupid, he has a very successful company and produces cutting edge products for very good prices. His company seems to focus on the hobbist more than most. I cannot say the same for Maxamps...

I only started my thread to input info on his employees actions. I could honestly care less if I have a working MMM. I must own 12-14 CC escs and at least 6-10 support items from them. I will always buy from them, as they are US based and I believe in keeping our money here, where it belongs. I would rather pay an inventive designer from our country than a copy-cat overseas. I understand that I cannot always stick to that policy, but I do try.

I can also see Patrick's side of all this. If a whole bunch of guys on a forum started bashing one of my builds it would cause me some emotion. I am sure that Patrick is taking a decent monetary hit for all of these problems, and there is also the personal feelings that go along with a problem such as this.

I have but one hypothesis for the MMM failures. It must be one or more outsourced items that have issues. Maybe some poor manufacturing techniques or raw material issues? I have a V1 that works perfectly, and has since the beginning. I also have a V2 that had a bec failure, but works fine since I performed the "BG" mod. I doubt it is a design issue, maybe there are a few comonents that are running close to spec, and any deviation in that spec will cause a failure?

I can imagine that I am just repeating what the CC brains have already though.

Please look past the BS Patrick! The few people that are having problems will most likely run the MMM when the bugs are worked out.

On a side note, do the MMM and the latest batch of CCBECs share any components? Seems like more of them are failing too, maybe a connection? Recent supplier change or component change?

Myself I don't think anyone should feel like they need to stop posting in the forum's because of bashing.
I really think this forum really need's a code of conduct and there should be strict rule's in place to protect people like Patrick who are olny coming on to help people make the Hobby better for us.I also think there should be a warning system in place where if you post hateful stuff and bash in a thread or post the person should get a warning if the person does it again they get banned for a week or 2 if they still don't smarten up ban them for a month and if they still continue ban them for life and there IP address so they can not start up another account under a different name and start bashing all over again.I don't think it's fair when a few Pecker Heads are allowed to start crap and the rest are made to suffer,I really don't want to see anyone get banned but I think there needs to be a strong message sent that if you can not conduct yourself in a manner that is not negative toward others than your not welcome here.
I also feel that people my not have gotten so angry about there MMM'S when they failed if we were kept up to date on what Patrick thought the problem may have been, but then again we don't know why Patrick did not say to much and it's not fair to judge him for not saying anything,he may have had good reason's not maybe he did not want to tip his hand and have another competitor's use it against him to hurt his sale's and his company.Anyway you look at it I don't think anyone including myself have stopped to think that Patrick never ment for this to happen,Patrick is doing this to make money not lose it and there is olny so much money that can be lost before his company is really going to suffer and it's good name, there is no way anyone is going to start a company with the intent of loosing money on every new product release, and I think if there is something wrong with the MMM it was an over sight or something unforseen.Anyway you look at it your an idiot if you think Patrick used us as Beta tester's as some have suggested all that is going to do is hurt his company money wise and it's name.

i think if i was trying to figure out an isolated problem like this i would buy/borrow/rent the very ones that are going through 3 and 4 mmm's. hook up every test probe you have and go bashing.
my 808 and xt8 v2 and v1 on 5s have never even givin a hick up and i use them at least 3 or 4 times a week. mike test drove them also.( chasing cars on the highway at 50 mph) fan on fan off they work and work smooth.

wade: In an ideal world, that level of moderation would work perfectly. However, different people have different ideas about what is acceptable and what is not. Unless Mike makes up a huge post written in "legal-ese", it is difficult to maintain consistency in moderation. And who wants to read, not to mention understand, all that! When that happens, you get what you see in certain other unnamed forums.

I personally don't own a castle product, however...I think the bashing should end, against castle, they will get the bugs worked out...it just takes time, it takes awhile to get all the bugs worked out of a product.....at least they have good customer service....unlike a certain german company, we all know of......just bear with them guys......
