I bought one, I have to buy locally so I get a 240v one but they haven't charged me yet so I don't know what's happening. I really want it so I can solder up those new ec5 plugs to my monster max when it comes (should be here soon as it was shipped almost 2 weeks ago) and I have a sidewinder the will need to be soldered up too but I bet the hakko is going to be the last thing to turn up.

Has anyone tried both the medium and large iron. How much difference is there between the two? I couldn't find anyone selling the 936 here with the large iron and the large iron by itself costs as much as the whole kit.

Thanks guys for the help. After reading through this thread and knowing that I needed a good soldering station I used the links provided by you and bought the one with the red flame kit. I also purchased the off road wheel balancing kit so I can begin balancing my new Axial beadlock wheels and Mulcher tires. It is nice to have so much help in finding the things that we need right here on RCM. More money spent......
