if I decided to go with the MGM controller, anyone have any idea which would suit my needs? Im planning on following jhautz recommendations to the letter in his second post

If you are looking for maximized run time on a small track with nitro comaprable power plus a little bit extra on the bottom end, I'd say look at a 1512/2.5D and a 4s 5000mah lipo setup. On that type of track you should be very happy with it and it should easily get you over the 20 minute runtime mark, maybe even getting close to that 30 minute target of yours. Its also a very versitlie motor. If you ever want to head out to a large wide open track or out in the open bashing for some speed runs you can drop a 5s pack in it and it will scream like your buddies 1.5D on 4s only be easier on the battery and esc while doing it.
