In the normal esc mounting location on the stampede I am fairly sure the caps stick up just past the shock tower and the body posts are too flexible to provide any protection. There also isn't really anywhere else to mount the esc in a stampede that is any more protected.

I showed my friend and he wants me to make him 2 for his MMs. He has now damaged the caps on both his escs.

He drives like a mad man and mine will be driven by an eight year old so we will know if it works soon enough.

metal would be a better option IMO. just deals with heat better. Also, you may want to put some side supports on the little thingy that comes over the caps. That way if a crash is big enough, you dont just crush the caps with that.
