Partial load is where my motor/controller is run most of the time, as on my track I can't open it up very often and that's one of the reasons for my origional question. I also like to run for the full duration of my batteries which can be up to 1/2 an hour, and my bigger truck and my liking to push my abilities on the track my motor/esc would end up pretty warm by the end of that. Lipos seem to make it worse as available current is constant throughout the entire run, unlike nimhs that dropoff as they drain.

I want something that is able to take this lying down so to speak, so a 20150 I think is in my future. I was really impressed with how cool the 16016 ran after long times, that was nice! My 9920 starts to melt the shrink it gets so warm...


Please tell me that's not smoke I see!
