No matter what, there's gonna be a lot of waste; after all, you gotta start with a block of aluminum. And I don't know if it has to be any thicker since al is stronger than plastic to begin with, not to mention the turned-up edges.

But yeah, it probably will be quite expensive. I guess the question then becomes: how bad do you really want it?

Very true. And I really just want an aluminum chassis similar to stock, but stronger, so I am probably just going to go with the East End Machining one.

get a silver one...BLACK will look great when it's new,but when it gets scratched up like hell it will look BEAT!!!

Hmmmm, good point. Not real sure what I should do now, like if I should even care what it will look like since I don't race it, just bash it, or if I really should care because I have a feeling it will bug me later that it will look horrible.....

They have the clear anodize. Thinking I should go with that, but still not sure.

Maybe I could still go with black, but do like what 1/10 off road with carbon fiber chassis' do and run an under body..... I could just make a thin Lexan underbody that either velcrow'd on or zip tied or screwed on. What do ya'll think?
