I currently have one in my Rustler on 4s and it flies. Not sure how it would fare in a larger vehicle.

I have a friend who wants to sell me a feigao 7xl 2382 brushless. Would this motor be much beter?

No. You'll end up with heat issues with the 7xl.

If you don't want to spend as much as a Neu costs, the Medusa that MetalMan recommended would do a great job in the CRT.

I'm running 1600kv Medusa on 5s with a 15t pinion my X2 CRT .

Heaps of torque for the track and out runs the nitros on the top end about 40mph , no heat issues at all .

A rustler isn't even in the ballpark of the strain a 1/8th truggy will put on a motor. It's pretty much double the weight and at least double the inertial load on the motor going to a truggy from a rustler.
