its probably worth it just to send it back, then need to buy a whole new motor later on

Looks like you could glue the magnet back on with epoxy and rewap the rotor with kevlar thread. You would have to remove the old wrap, which may be very difficult. Contact neu and they will most likely send you another rotor. They have always given me excellent service!
