+1 for 17mm. Pretty much get whatever you want for a wheel. Many of us here are all running the exact same thing on our REVOs though. Ofna 17mm conversion, maximizer beadlocks, and proline badlands mt tires. Great bashing combo and I was even pretty impressed with there performance on the wet, muddy track at the annual bash.
I have the very same combo and I am happy with the results
the people ive talked to that uses 17mm hex told me they get slop. not sure what theyre talking about, but i dont like any slop...especially if its gonna be around the wheels. but there was this guy that tried almost everybrand 17mm hex conversion, and he said the hpi was the best.
and i have yet to strip a 14mm hex either. i just check the nut after every run.

I am looking for a new set of wheels. What are the pros and cons of BeadLocks. They are heavier right? Are the as durable as a non beadlock wheel? I a bash hard and need something durable. Thanks.

there is no slop with the 17mm, 23mm is a different story though
+1 on the 17mm - I got both the OFNA and the Traxxas 17mm conversion for the Revo. I've been using the Traxxas 17mm hex and haven't had a single problem all summer.
“Everyone has a right to be stupid; some people just abuse the privilege.”
While your ordering if you are converting to 17mm at the same time order yourself some extra 17mm nuts!
+1 on that.. and if you are running on concrete or ashpalt, just order another set of adapters as well. A nut WILL come off.. and that end up putting the treaded adapter spinning on the surface.. Bye Bye threads.
are the traxxas splined 17mm adapters better than the ofna 17mm adapters? i like the idea of the hex's locked to the shaft.
also what about the splines, do i have to get splined wheel to have any benefit in strength, or will it be a disadvantage if i dont.
thanks, i think im getting close
the tower search is horrible.

I'm using the Maximizer 17mm adapters same as Mike sells.
They are simple and light, with no slop.
As for the Badlands, I used the MT size and stretched them onto 1/2" offset LPR rims;
This makes the sidewall a bit more rigid. I did tape the insides of them before mounting to prevent ballooning tho. They are my best all-around bashing tire.
I am using the HPI Phaltlinges for street running;
I have the Crimefighters for the track (sorry no pic).
