I run a 5s5000 and it hit 49mph a little to much speed for this truck

Sweet thanks! One thing which motor? 2200?
What about the tranny, I see some locking it in 2nd but id like to keep the 3 spped and have reverse as well, possible?

hi

i would rather fix it in first gear. you still have plenty of options for gearing it with the pinion (9-25t) and spur (47-53t).
imho multiple speed trannys do not really last long with brushless setups.

if you take the mmm combo go with the 2200 version.
