It really is.. but the only issue w/ the RTR's is you don't get any of the upgraded parts.. shafts throughout (shocks and pins), aluminum shock caps, the upgraded chassis (unless you repalce w/ the tekno v3 chassis), the ugpraded shock towers, and I forget exactly but I think there are a few other things like the hubs for example. After somewhat recently doing on of these projects... I wouldn't buy any kits or rtr's, I would simply buy the tekno v3 combo (I like the 8ight but they have all versions) then go on ebay and buy up the rest from folks who are parting brand new race rollers. That is just me though... really of the three, I would get the one that has parts at your LHS so if you need something you don't have to wait for mailorder, and you don't have to have a load of spare parts w/ lots of money tied up as none of these break that often if you are a decent driver. Some of those guys breaking a-arms on one type vs the other is a bunch of crap as they are all just as durable in that area as the other one; breakage will occur if you wreck hard enough with any, but they are all super durable.

My vote would go to xray for all the reasons already stated. I run an XB8 EC and XT8 and am in love with them. I shelved my Jammin X1-CR in favor of the XB8 and am very glad I did.

There's two sides to every schwartz, he got the up side and I got the down side.

Why I do not recommend RC8

http://capelle.freebox.free.fr/target25.html

From what i have seen, Handling is ok but overall durability vs other brands is in the lower range
