Shipping from Hong Kong to US -
12.01.2008, 10:42 PM
What are your guys' experiences with shipping from Hobby City to the US?
I've heard everything from a few days to 6 weeks, I've never had to deal with international shipping, can you give an estimate, and rate your satisfaction... any details useful, thanks!

I just received my 12th order from them. The longest it ever took was 15 days (holiday weekend)
This last order was here in 3 days.
It just depends what kind of shipping you choose.
If I use standard, it takes about two weeks....if I use express its here no later than 4 days.

I used a "bottom" line.

It depends on which shipping service you use. HC usually ships out within 2 days, and for me if I choose EMS I typically will have a package 4 days after putting in my order. Granted I am in California so it only has to travel the Pacific Ocean.

Ems is the way to go, unless you are not in a rush. Std shipping takes about 2 weeks to get to Louisiana. I have ordered 10+ times from them and always been happy.

I never use their EMS shipping, too spendy for my blood so it always takes about 2 weeks to get anything here.
Also, I have burned up two of their iCharger 106B chargers now and it has been over a month since they have had this last one and I still haven't gotten a new one back. Their customer service is definitely lacking!! They are however good at getting back to you in emails... ususally the next night (the whole time difference deal).

not to US but Europe but it does not really matter as the distance is about the same :)
standard registered mail takes from few days to ~3 weeks.
EMS takes few days. generally EMS from asia is faster than from US
EMS from assia is more expensive compared to the US one which is very cheap, but since most of my HC orders are under 1kg I use EMS to get it fast.

I have a buddy with a 3905 Maxx looking at the Rhino 2S 4900 packs.... $40 is 1/3 what I paid for my FP 4900s.
I don't think I'd be getting anything other than batteries, but what a smokin' deal.
Any of you guys have input on those packs?

Get the blue Zippy packs. About the same price and they are excellent packs. EMS shipping to Atlanta takes 3 to 4 days.
