Thanks for the 101 on shocks. I'm used to my revo which seemed to want heaver and heaver fluids to get the right compression and rebound. Some great news is Mike got the chassis out and I should have some progress in the next few days
looking good daytona!
i just finished a RC8T build also and i love it. it is the smoothest running 1/8 truggy i have seen. hope you enjoy. keep posting pics.

Ryu James: Every once in awhile, you have some very nice builds going on over there.
Little update. I still have not ran it But in the mean time I always liked the Traxxas battery vents and wanted to make some hood scoops out of them. Well I did not like how clunky they looked on the hood or roof so I settled with the side, not thinking about it being off road turning that it would be throwing all the dirt at/in it. I deciding that it probably wouldn't be a good idea to put it on the motor side so I had to work with what I got. Let me know what you think?
I picked up some aluminum screen door repair kit to block the dirt but still looked a little large so I push it together and set it on some tape. Cut the size I needed ca glued it to the body then peeled the tape off.
So with the left over side I just bolted it on the back side to blow the air down over the battery.

that looks pretty good. i am a big fan of air scoops and i also use screen mesh too. check out this site for some cool looking hood scoops that are cheap. they also sell stainless steel mesh which looks really cool like for a front air dam or something like that. if you do a search here in the forums for RC8T build you should find my thread with my rc8t build which has both the hood scoop and the steel mesh from this site.
Ryu James: That website has some pretty cool scoops, thanks for the link.
Still waiting on a mount, but I could no longer wait so I put this together in the mean time.
This next picture was from my cell so its a little blurry.
All I can say is "WOW" handles incredibly well, jumps great and ran perfect.
After 15min of all throttle my temps were: Motor:149.7 ESC:94.2 Battery:109 with about 75 outside. Could not be happier with the final product.
