Diffs for MMM on 5s? - 12.21.2008, 07:04 PM

Mmk, i currently have 3.3 t-maxx diffs in my e-maxx. I'm getting a 5s zippy lipo and i just got a MMM 2200kv cambo. Will these daffs be able to hold up to a MMM on 5s? if not, what ahould i get?

i have the stock replacment FLM bulks and revo style sliders to the wheels with the FLM extended chassie dogbone going to the rear and a traxxas CVD to the front.

as long as you don"t try anything crazy they should be fine, I would go with the stock diffs and if they don"t hold up then try upgrading them

IIRC, 3.3 diffs are same as 2.5 diffs, just have the 4 screw plastic case versus the 2 screw diff case of the 2.5s. If thats right, you're a little better off, but not as strong as the 16.8 Emaxx diffs that are supposed to be brushless ready.

Upgrade to 16.8 diffs - available on Ebay, what I put in my old style 3906 Emaxx, but I converted over to all the 3.3 stuff from bulks out. That may be all you need to do.

I worried about this same issue (diff esc and motor) and I popped for a set of the FLM hybrids and ofna diffs and I know those won't have probs. But for the cost, they better not have any!!

Hostly most likely you will shred them pretty soon... The revo ones couldn't take a 6s2p A123 Neu 1515/2.5d setup even with Ali inner and outers.

Yea, i talked to lincpimp about putting lst diffs in my maxx and he said that with revo style sliders, i'd have to get like $25 of RCM adapters to run them. This correct? Concidering who said it, i bet so.
