Knowing what I know now, after 3 revisions and a bunch of trial and error, I can say that at least for me the conversion wasn't all that bad.

To get a new Jato from nitro to my V3 stage would take me about 2 hours, a 1.5x4 piece of aluminum, a pair of Associated battery cups, and some Shoe Goo. Not counting labor time cost would be about $10. Plus electronics, of course.

In it's current state it's actually a viable racer as well as a basher.

Electronics run on smoke... if you let the smoke out, they stop working.
