One lipo sack for each battery. Ammo boxes are NOT safe when things go "wrong".

X2 - My ammo boxes are going to hold up to much more than any of those lipo sacks.

Losi 8T 1.0, Savage Flux - XL style, LST XXL, Muggy, 3.3 E-Revo Conversion and sitting outside 425hp, 831 Tq Dodge Ram Turbo Diesel. It SMOKES

It is the same principal as letting a firecracker go off in your "closed fist". The ammo box will not give and so the energy will not disipate. Same holds true for fire safes.

Have you guys seen a vid of a lipo sack in action? It totally puffs up (contains the flames) and allows it to vent (just smoke) safely.

For all the money we spend on Lipo, BL, etc. this is good money to spend on safety. By the way I am in no way connected with this company.

In fact if anyone knows where to get a good deal on them I would appreciate it. I need to get two.

I use the lipo sacks, I have 2 white ones from maxamps.com (shutup) and 2 black ones from impaktrc.com. I use 1 to charge 2 lipos as I use the 0610duo, but as Pedeboi said 1 of them flames you are out 2 lipos so best to charge in seperate sacks. I read before the ammo box or safes dont disperse (sp?) enough oxygen and turn into bombs if they flare up. Enjoy that though, im not here to tell anyone what to do lol

wow 2 good arguments. ok how do you route the wires to the ammo box; or do you leave it open to vent the pressure?.
Does the lipo sack smother the fire, and the ammo box provide a safe burn area?

damn took me 5 minutes to ask and the answer was there

If I was using an ammo box, and Ive thought about it, Id have a sack of sand near by. The lipo sack is like a firemans jacket and you could grab it and throw it outside ( (providede your doors close or Id revert to the sand) no water smothewr and roll... To get those lipos charging in an ammo box you would need to make a long ass charging cords or cut some weird holes in it. Notice my bias
