Here is another option, I don't race, I like to bash too. I have a hyper 7 that I converted three ways. When it's on road it's a blast cause I can launch it off curbs and small jumps without damaging the body. And how often do you see an on road jumpin? Here is two pictures of it in truggy mode and on road.
I'd say it handled just as well as my GTP in on road mode. Just takes a little patience setting it up either way.

Can you post pictures on how you got the body mounted. I have the Hyper 7
and would like to put a on road body on it. Thanks. Also what body do I need to get?

Simple body posts are bolted to the shock tower, the bodies you can use are any 1/8 scale like for the gtp, this one is the lumina body from towerhobbies.
