I don't think it's going to be that bad actually.

When you disable the internal bec on the mm, you rid yourself of ALOT of heat. It is a linear bec, which means it gets pretty hot doing its job.

The addition of the Novak 2700uf capacitor really helps temps too.

Then we have the fan. (Brain G's nemesis module........LOL) I was tempted to drill holes in the side of the lower casing on the MM. Then match those up with holes in the enclosure. This would force air across the lower part of the power board, the brain board.

The fan pressurizes the box somewhat as long as you don't drill too many holes for the air to exit. With this in mind, just drill holes in the hotspots and the heat will bleed off those areas quickly.

One other thing I like about the box is, it gives you additional surfaces to mount things.

Thank you. - 01.22.2009, 11:29 PM

Thank you Sikes for the positive comments. The build is comming together nicely and I cannot wait to get the home made hardened steel hinge pins installed. The steel pins should arrive in the next few days, and then I can complete the project and get it up and running. This has been a long time comming for me. Plus the boys are excited to finally see one of my projects completed and running so they can have some fun with it.

On the Wiring harnesss, just get you some Deans connectors and some 12Ga. Noodle wire, then use your imagination. LOL Just get the good quality stuff to start with and you won't be disappointed.

Actually I just removed all of my Deans and sent them to a Pay it Forward birthday boy. I prefer the new TRX connectors myself. Once you figure out the best way to install them they are much more user frinedly in my opinion. I guess my fingers are too big for using the Deans plugs(too small and no grip) espcially if you are trying to get her done in a hurry. The first one turned out pretty good, and I love making stuff like this myself. Three moreto go. Anyway thanks for the comments Sir.
