I would run the 9L - The can on the 9L is much smaller than the can on the C50. You have a lot more tuning options with the 9L than the C50 IMO. Also i would guess that running a 51 tooth you would probably run a 18 or 19 in first gear - should get ya to around 28-29 mph in first low 40's in second but motor and controller temps will rise fast in second...
