I'm betting they used a really small spur gear on the center diff to allow the center dif to drop down low enough to line up with the rear diff pinion.
The more I look at this layout the more I like it.

The length of the center shaft doesnt bother me at all. Have you seem how long the rear shaft on the FLM tranny forward Savage is. it holds up just fine.
I cant believe I am going to have to buy an Ofna this year. I would have never guessed it. But I am so all about this layout. The more I look at it the more I love it. Its as close to ideal as it can be and still keep the basic 3 diff setup. Toss Mike's slipper diff in and its done!!! to make it... or break it... Silent...But Deadly |
