Sounds like a cold solder joint. You could probably fix it but that would most likely void the warranty...

Good point :).

I'm going to see how it goes because it took over 6 weeks to get my MM back (came in today) after sending it in for warranty repair. In that case it was a new system with only 60 seconds of runtime so it was frustrating. At this point I'm skittish because I don't know if I want to chance being without my primary ride for a long time unless it dies again, but I will watch the warranty period to make sure I do something before it's out.

Along those lines I have a custom wiring configuration for my batteries and it would be a real pain to pull it for the new ones with directly connected wires. Is that all that is available or is it possible to keep bullets?

Picture below for reference, if anyone is wondering I am not taking credit for the build, it looks like longbill76's build since I bought it from him.
