Best combination to replace my MGM/NEU 1515 2.5d

Hi Guys,

Im currently running 5s lipo with the MGM 16018 and the Neu 1515 2.5d and planning to try out the new MMM combi.

Above is used in a XRAY-XB8EC (1/8 buggy) and will most prob be getting an XRAY-808 as a second buggy.

Which would be the best combi from Castle to get? I'm more into general bashing and impressing the passer-bys with its quickness!

Not forgetting that I'm running in 90% humidity and 90+ F temperatures so it needs to be resilient in that kinda environment.

2200kv motor version with 5s lipo for sure, I wouldnt run more than 4s lipo on the 2650kv motor, especially in a hot climate. Quickness guranteed...

If I keep the 5s and the 1515 and just change the ESC, will there be much difference in performance etc etc?

Yes, the MMM is much smoother than the MGM and has a lot more programming features. With the MMM it is much easier to tune your brake and throttle profiles to act exactly how you want them to the T. You will find that the drive characteristics greatly change for the better with the MMM.

I have owned both, and while the MGM is a robust controller, it is nowhere near the controller the MMM is.

Ok, manage to get approval from the CEO to get the combi and the XRAY-XB808(2009). w00t! So the 2200Kv is the way to go for a 1/8th buggy in a hot and humid climate ya? :)

That's what I would do. I live in hot and humid too and always try to over compensate as to not have issues.
