[QUOTE=jayjay283;264587]I spent the weekend trying (for the 3rd time) to get a kyosho 46 tooth spur (plastic) in the 8T cd with RCM Mount. 2 shims not enough, 3 is too many. Someone said they did it but it will not work for me and I have 50,000 shims lol. I ordered up the LOSA3562 45T Spur Gear, Plastic: 8E 2.0. Ill try that out this weekend. The steel on steel is just too loud for neighborhood bashing, sounds like a F1 is zipping down the street. Neighbors peering out windows shaking their heads.

p.s. the 45t kyosho spur fit perfect on my Muggys CD with 2 shims[/QUOTE

To get the 46 kyosho to fit I had to grind the front bearing retainer down to get the proper spacing for the spur then shim the back as required.
