i run a mm in my 8th buggy and truggy, just a ubec and a fan, no need for any extra caps, you can for the hell of it but mine have been going for over a year without

A cap will not hurt. Neither will a fan, but I suggest running it carefully without the fan just to see how it does(temp regularly). My experience with fans is that they go wrong, and if your MM needs the addl cooling and the fan craps out, well you may thermal, or worse...
Just a word of caution. The MM is a great esc. I have 7 or 8 of them at the moment, and have owned at least 12 and have only had one failure. |

Yeah, I've had 4 MMs and have had only 1 fail due to my error and have been using on 2s-5s.
