I am at a loss

So I have this Polyquest pack that I love. The wires come out the top of the pack. There is no good way to put this pack in my slash and use the stock battery hold down. I tried everything. The only way I can run it in the slash is by forcing the battery hold down on top of the wires squashing the hell out of them. That cannot be good and one would think it eventually is going to cause chaos with my battery leads. I put the battery pack in the opposite way and moved the foam to the other side with no luck. It kind of sucks. The SPC pack I have with the wires coming out the sides I had to notch the chassis with my dremel to get the wires and pack to fit. Now I have no clue what to do with the PQ pack. Things this simple should not be that difficult. Any thoughts? I can provide pictures if needed.
