hahaha, good to know you guys are interested in my truck conversion! It's been hold... overtime, the company that was going to supply us with the motor controller is on pause right now because Formula 1 is funding them with some project (i guess look for brushless F1 racing soon ;) ), they say it pays good, so... SO there is a risk we can take in getting this one inverter from our main supplier with can't guarantee performance with our Siemens motor, it's a $5500 risk that we are thinking of taking. If not, we keep the motors for now and buy a decent brushed DC system for $3500 total (motor/controller), you have less efficiency, high peak amps, less range with DC, but we will have more power, roughly 180hp vs. 110hp for the AC Induction system... although, the AC system will be much smoother torque delivery, dead flat torque band from 0 - 4500rpm :) and flat power band from 4500 - 11,000rpm. I am getting pretty desperate at this point to get the thing running!
