15 or 16mm will work just the same. There's not much difference strength-wise between the 8x16x5mm against the 6x15x5mm bearings. I'd rather install a pair of setback arms in order to give an additional 22mm of length. It will be more stable and less prone to wheelies and flips.

I have both 15 and 16mm versions of racerx and I can't able tell the difference.

Edit: 16mm racerx is required if you're going to use the 8mm cvds unless you have a readysource of 8x15x5mm bearings.

My truck is already so long. Its longer than a monoblocked lightning. Its longer than a 8T 2.0! Setbacks look heavy. They way I have it set up now, I can't do mad wheelies unless I'm on pavement. It just slings dirt on dirt. lol. With that in mind Setbacks look kinda heavy and MM says high grade bulks only and I want to keep it light-"ish" so no GARC for me yet, the FLM have proved themselves.

Any ideas? Watch the UE BST and EBAY? Should happen fairly quick then?

Did I hear Ti skids?? (yeah I am back) I was putting my Maxx back together after almost a year of nothing and I still need a Ti skid for the front. Anybody know where to get one?

I'm building a buddy truck with my left over parts basically it will look like this, but have stock plastic bulkheads and will be powered by a TRX 750 titan, a TRX maxx esc blue colored. lol. and 2X7.4v lipo.

My question is this. I've already got plastic bulkheads should I spend another 60 and get FLM?

Mark I was looking at my front skid plate that will be going on this buddy truck and you probably wouldn't want it. Its really marked up and has a cut in it from a striped screw head.

What bearings and diff will fit this? I'm worried that with all the runtime I've put on the diff and bearings that something is going to eventually need replacing. I suppose I should oil the bearings. This this diff is fairly old and no longer supported I should probably move on to a newer diff. Any ideas? It needs to be a long enough diff with the right bearings right?

I would guess any regular 1/8 diff will fit really, the majority are the same dimensions essentially, just different teeth counts & spur designs ( teeth count is the important factor, and getting spares ofcourse ). Not sure about bearings, but I'd bet they are probably pretty common- the ID will be 5mm most likely, you can check the thickness and OD with some calipers, but I doubt it will be hard to find something suitable- loads of bearing retailers around..

8 x 16 x 5mm bearings fit the GS motor mount. If I were you, I'll just buy some replacement bearings from Avid. They're only $1 apiece.

Ofna CD will fit that mount. I test fitted them before using the GS storm buggy given by Shawn a few years ago.

Great! Lito adding a third 8 gear spider diff would be bling and tough and convenient but the price tag is alittle high. Does it have 46t? CLICK That is not a bad price for that diff. But I wonder if could buy this CLICK

I agree with that suggestion... you don't need to spend a whole lot of money on Diffs these days.... good deals on ofna spiders/hobao diffs pop up on ebay quite frequently...
