cen matrix battery tray question - 04.13.2009, 09:55 PM

hey guys!

i just got a good used matrix buggy roller that i plan to convert i stripped all the nitro crap out already and did the servo tray mod as well i was planning on using a tekno tray like i did in the tr arena but had some issues!! if i put the tray towards the front it comes close to the spur gear (didn't like it that close) i think i'm gonna ditch the tekn o tray on this one and use one of mikes but which one do i need? i have 2 5000mah reedy 2s 7.4 lipos i plan to use need to fit those with body issues any ideas or suggestions?............thanks!

Just measure the batteries and order whatever size tray you need.

To see if the batteries fit under the body, measure how tall the batteries are plus how thick the battery tray is once you receive it, and how high the body sits from the chassis.

I'm doing the opposite...going from Mike's tray's to the tekno trays. Mike's trays only allow for certain Lipo's. Zippy flightmax's will not work in them with out going custom and adding alot of cost.

maxx...besides the zippy packs not fitting how was the fitment of the tray itself? any body issues or anything like that? jnev thanks for the info it is greatly appreciated! gonna have to wait a bit before i can spend money on my hobby again but i might buy 2 tray and replace the one in my truggy i thought the tekno trays are kinda flimsy havent tried them in a race yet but i like things to be bulletproof!!!
