Besides, most product defects will surface pretty quick. USUALLY, things that fail after 90 days is related to abuse, improper usage, etc.

I don't see that being an issue. We've yet to have a single unit fail. I personally have over 100 packs on the one in my mugen right now.

I know I have kicked around the warranty issue in my head recently as well.

Tekin's past performance though makes me more willing to give them a benefit of the doubt than some other manufacturers thats for sure. They replaced a Tekin G10 ESC for me when they came back to the scene no questions asked even though I was planning to pay to repair it. They got some points with me for that.

Personally, I too would like an industry leading warranty from them, as i think there products performance is industry leading from what the recent reports are. But, you take what you can get.

Hey Guys,

One thing I want to stress to everyone after reviewing install photos is to remember that these are 1/8 cars that take a ton of abuse. To take that abuse things are allowed to FLEX and MOVE. Please please make sure that your wires area also allowed to FLEX and MOVE a bit. I'm the first one to applaud a clean wiring installation but make sure there's some extra length in the wires to allow the flex along with the chassis.

The solder posts are not meant to be pulled on or have constant pressure on them. So take a minute and make sure you're wiring layout is clean AND suitable for abuse.

This has been a publice service announcement brought to you buy Tekin...

Where did you see 90days? Our standard warranty is 120days. Does not make much difference in most cases anyway. Most manufacturer errors show up pretty quickly. Things that break after 30days are usually things cracking from impact, wires breaking off, or a user error like pluggin the battery in backwards. We are pretty easy to deal with in most cases and give great deals to those that be honest and admit they broke it. I do not think we have had any service where the warranty period came into play. You do not see much bad press about our customer support and it would be there if we had issues and unhappy users.

1/8 may be a different story since the units will be literally hammered on. Good installs and routine checking of solder joints and wires make for a happy race day

hi guys!!!
im reading this post cause im interested in a rx8 for my new truggy. Its easy to talk about warranty when you are in the usa, but when you live in spain or others countrys without dealers of the product you need to be sure what you are buying and if its not a reliable product better get another one cause the shipping to usa and the long wait can make you crazy. I ve seen that in my country forum, 100s of mamba monster fried one two and three times, and shipping the esc to usa is like 35 dollars so...... I was lucky cause when i did my first conversion the mamba monster still wasnt in stock so i bought a mgm two times expensive than the mmm but i did it right, mgm gaves me 0 issues but i needed to sell all my 1/8 stuff. Now i want get into the action again with a rc8te and a tekin rx8 for sure!!! i think sensored is the way to go, smooth and throothle sensitive is what brushless needs to piss all over nitro stuff.
After that i will like to ask some questions; if i bought a tekin rx8, the warranty will starts the day of purchase or the day that i receive the combo? cause normally it arrives in two weeks but can delay till a month.
Ok i will be reading all forums to get info about rx8s esc, i just saw one fried, but can anybody tell me how many escs have tekin sell already?

In general the warranty would be from the date of purchae. I'm sure that if you were close we'd honor it.

Most failures are right away if there's a problem. I've been running the same RX8 for over 4 months now without any issues.
