Hey I am now done with puting my 808 kit together, just waiting on the convert parts...

In this picture:



What are the 4 little shims for? Haven't found any use for them in that part of the build, and I didn't see any mention of them in the manual either...

Thanks to anyone that remembers his 808 build and what those shims are for ;)

The shims go over the wheel axles between the bearing and the wheel hex to keep a little space and prevent rubbing. One on each wheel axle.


I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

It was good to see that someone is still getting good use of one of Shaun's threads. I sure miss having him in here showing off his builds. They are always inspiring in one way or another. I sure hope that his divorce is not one of those knock down drag out fights, which are totally useless when it comes to the kids. If you get to this Shaun know that you are missed at RCM. Good luck with that.
