Thanks jhautz! again hahah EDIT: well turns out the shims I was wondering about are the ones used to adjust the front/rear diff gear mesh. That means mine are shimless, didn't really bother to check the mesh, figured it would be spot on like the rest of the kit... Can I run it like this for the breaking in and then check how the mesh looks and adjust, really don't feel like opening those bulks AGAIN.

Yeah all those build threads really help when your wondering about certain steps...

Oh and the other thing that drove me NUTS last night is that for the life of me I could not get my hands on the multi-turnbuckle tool. And this really SUCKED. From looking at the pics it was packaged in the oil and grease bag. Wasn't in mine or somehow I missed it and it vanished :P I guess I'll order one lol

Sorry if I sent you down the wrong path there. My diffs meshed perfectly and didnt need any shimming. I have built 2 of these 808 buggies and neither one needed shimming in the diffs. If you get the active diff it will need a couple shims though. Both that I have seen needed to have the mesh tightened a little.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
