Can I use the Spektrum DX3.0(comes with 3R3000) with my MMM without the fear of this:
"Depending on the manufacturer of the ESC, there can be issues with the BEC (battery elimination circuitry) not having a high enough voltage output. The issues tend to be isolated with Tekin and LRP ESC’s when used with SR3000 or SR3001 receivers. There are several steps that can be taken to prevent issues from cropping up. First is to make sure you install a power capacitor on the speed control itself, as this seems to prevent high-current drains from causing issues on the ESC’s end. Additionally, installing the SPM1600 Voltage Protector into an open channel on your receiver can further prevent low-voltage issues."
I've heard that it melts stuff! I also though I read that this even happened to Joe Ford!
Any thoughts?
Thanx,
Zack

If you have not purchasexd the Spektrum yet. Get the Futaba. It has worked seemlessly for me with my MMM combo.

I would love to have a 3PM, but I just found out that I might could get a sweet deal on a Airtronics MX-3 2-FHSS. Has anybody used this with a MMM or simply used it at all? (the Spektrum is out the window)
My Traxxas radio works okay(with a ferrite ring and careful planning and braided wires), but I just feel foolish when I hit the track or when I'm bashing with other R/C car owners when they all have aftermarket radio's. LOL
Thanx,
Zack

Somebody on the Traxxas forum uses an Airtronics and has said no problems.

Read from the bottom up. What this boils down to is that if my order doesn't come in Monday, they've lost my order and I will have to go through a long(er) proccess of trying to get my money back/ trying to get my truck going. Who's happy? (BTW) This sounds, judging by the format of the letter, that this is an automatic response, like these happens ALL the time and they got tired of writing up a detailed response everytime so now all they have to do is click a button.

Dear Tower Hobbies Customer,
Thank you for contacting Tower Hobbies. We apologize that this package has not yet arrived. The number you were provided was a package ID number assigned when the package was shipped via UPS Mail Innovations, a reduced rate shipping service involving UPS delivering the package to the US Postal Service, who handles the final delivery of the package to your address. This number indicates that the package has been delivered to one of the USPS major hubs. Once this occurs, the number provided will not provide additional information concerning the delivery of the package.
We have used this service consistently for quite some time now and have had great success with accurate and efficient delivery times. However, occasional delays do occur while a package is in transit, no matter which type of delivery service we use for our packages. This is why we must allow 10 mailing days for delivery before we can claim the package as lost. If your package has not been delivered with your mail on Monday, April 20th and you have checked with your post office to be certain they have not held the package for any reason, please contact us and we will be happy to immediately assist you with a replacement via UPS or a refund.
If we can be of further assistance or answer any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We appreciate your time and your business with us.

Hi, I'm Zack Smith this is my Customer Number: ******* You can see that I ordered several parts 4-Apr-2009 they went out on 8-Apr-2009 I was told automatically from Tower that the estimated delivery time was the 9th-13th. Now my questions are: #1. why did I get this message(In red). #2. Why hasn't it come in yet? Its been 11 days since I ordered, and 7 days since it shipped. I've ordered from Tower before many times and it has always been fairly quick; one or two days after it has shipped.
Thank you so much!
I am anxiously awaiting your response,
Zack

Here are some pictures taken of where the build stands now, but not before a heavy bash session, leaving the truck dirty . I'm thrilled with the way it is turning out, its really durable and is a blast to drive. I'm still waiting on a rear spool and an Airtronics MX-3FG FHSS-2 and later some UE Setbacks and the kit that goes with that.(Hopefully UE will hear our pleas to reproduce the whole kit). And I just know that as soon as Mike gets back he will have that FLM style center diff and motor mount ready to go... LOL!!!

These knuckles came off the Platinium version of the revo and are have bigger/better bearing. Lil dirty.
Rear New Era Skidplate(no longer in production, but they still have a few left)
Front New Era Titanium Skidplate(no longer available) Custom grill... looks okay.
These shiney goodies are from Mark(mkrusedc) He also sent me a dog bone. Along just having a big impact on this build in general over at TRX(linked in the first post) I cannot thank you enough Mark for what all you have done. My thanx and love also goes out to Emaxxter better known on TRX he has been crucial to this build as he and his website have allowed me to get great deals on some of the options that you see on this truck.
Here are some of my first few back flips. These where taken a few weeks ago before some of the mods. Enjoy...
