yeah steel spurs are only for people who cant mesh gears properly. I've been running the nylon 48p gears since stock (MM, 4s, Feiago 9L) and have never had a problem. Not even any noticeable wear. That goes for all my cars/trucks.

If you live near sand dunes you could do I what I did, I got the extended chassis and put sand paddles on the rear - makes an awsome dune buggy (think mini baja :p). Can never be overpowered in the sand :p

Oh and ditch the RPM gear, it sucks. No wonder it doesn't break, its basically rubber it's that flexible no good if you want any kind of decent handling or suspension.
