Cc bec - 05.12.2009, 12:23 AM

hi all,

1) i would like to know what a CC BEC does to the elec, i've got one and want to put it into my stampede vxl, running 3s 5000mah, with two fans one for the speed controll and one for the motor.

2)secondly with the stampede running the 11.1v 3s the speed controller cant handle running two fans and goes into shutdown mode, now if i put a 6cell 5000mah pack in, it runs fine with the two fans. thats what brings me to the CC BEC, will putting this on my truck make me able to run the stampede with two fans and a 11.1v 3s.

3)now to wire the CC BEC up, i know where the battery wires go, but the plug that goes into the receiver goes into ch2, but doesn't the steering servo go into the ch2 ?.or do i have to have a Y harness so i can plug that into ch2 then put the CC BEC in one and the steering into the other.

thanks in advance for all your advice and input

cheers tony.....

1) Stepping voltage converter vs linear - you can google the difference but stepping is more effecient hence less heat

2) yes no issue

3) remove red wire from ESC into RX - Bec can go into any slot aux/bat etc... with a couple of fans you are going to need a splitter of some kind

red wire on esc is from the esc's bec to power the rx and hence your fans.

If you have the ESC and the BEX trying to power the RX its going to get ugly fast...

Splitter = Y harness
