Why do all the manufactures even put in their descriptions that they use ABEC 1 bearings? These are the lowest rating on the ABEC scale. At the RPM's that motors run (30K-60K) I would think you would want the most precise bearing you can get, or at least a 5 or 7. Believe me I know that the cost goes up I spent $20 replacing the bearings on my Feigao, but why is it that manufactures put it in there like its added value or something?
I don't know absolutely loads about the ABEC scale, but it could be that it's like Michelin Stars for restaurants. 1 star doesn't mean that it's bad, it means that its better than most other restaurants. Maybe this is similar, most normal bearings wouldn't get a rating of ABEC1 so those that do are actually better.
I don't know really, that would be my best guess.
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.
because cheap asian factories make cheap asian bearings that aren't even abec1 rated. atleast you know that abec1 bearings have been tested and rated, without that you don't know what you're getting.

Well I know what the ABEC scale is it is a scale of how presicely the bearing manufactured. I saw two the other day that used an ABEC 5, one was Medusa and the other I don't remember. Castle and a few others are ABEC 1. Who made (makes?) the Castle 36mm models? I just wouldn't use a cheap bearing like that in a motor that spins in excess of 50K.
