I dont race mine i just converted it as i had some spare pieces laying around. It runs a center diff and 2200kv MMM combo on 6s geared 23/50. I have no temp issues at all and it runs for ages. The batteries are two 3s 5000 flight power packs that i mounted onto the stone guards on each side. I simply put a strap through the existing hole in the left guard and made an equal hole in the right one. So far no problems at all and flipped it end to end about four times with no shell the other day. The batteries do need some better securing though. When the castle conversion kit comes out i will put them on it.

Performance wise i can stab full throttle at any speed and watch the back end step out down the street. its so much fun

I don't race mine either and I have the same performance as you also. I have people asking me all the time if its RWD due to the rear end getting sideways on power. It performs exactly as my drifter does with the stock slicks on it. The drifts are completely controllable. Yesterday out of curiosity I did full throttle donuts for about 30 seconds and my tires started smoking like crazy, then my tires ballooned full of hot air. After that I had to let them cool down and go back to regular size hahahahah
