I briefly tried cad but i'd rather draw it on a bit of cardboard and then get out there and cutting metal rather than spending hours on a pc and then getting a machine to cut it, but it has its applications for anything more than 1 offs.

I'll be making another chassis soon, more in the style of my lightning pro:



with the brace going around the motor, only reason its so hard on the maxx is the 56 spur gear is massive!

Any ideas how tall the MMM is without the case/ fan?

How much does the lightning weigh RTR? Your builds are top notch, your metalworks are beautiful!

Wow... really nice... you sure have the custom build thing going... Have you compared the performance (power, handling, stability)
of both trucks? which do you prefer? I am glad to see someone else other than myself still using cells...
