Damn it. I have a very hard time picking up sarcasm in type, because I'm usually so sarcastic myself that I typically assume noone else is....

You're correct, though. A 90C continuous rating would get you over 1000A out of that pack. Castle needs to hurry up with their UMMMM (ultra-mega mamba monster max) so there is an ESC to handle all of that POWAAHHHHH!!

So wait, A123 is owned by Enerland, who we all know makes the best Lipo cells available to the public. Did A123 lease out the chemistry to whoever makes maxamps cells? Gotta figure now that GM is about to become Government Motors and the A123 powered Volt might never see production, licensing a chemistry out to someone else able to produce a more space efficient cell than their unpopular round batteries might not be such a bad idea. Lets not forget that MaxAmps doesn't really make anything except exaggerated claims and inflated price points, they buy the cells from the lowest bidder and market them.

Someone make a 5s or 6s pack, I want to see some hard data logging.

It's actually A123 that bought Enerland.

Hmm...torn between what would be a very price Maxamps LiFe flat cell battery gamble, or something of equal or greater value at same or less cost.

I've broken open A123 cells before with no excitement. It's a very good stable chemistry. Just not well known.
I think I'll side with Freeze: someone else can do the testing, I'll put the money into my 1:1 truck payment sooner than buying something with a MA label on it. I'd look like a fool showing up at a race track with a nicely made RC8T and a MA pack sitting in it.

So, has anyone gotten one yet? If so, do you have a Data Rcording device to show us all some nice data?

I saw several in use this weekend. It was being used by a guy running in...Slash...which at our track is a stock class only so he wasn't really pushing anything. The guy seemed pretty happy with the performance but until they are using in something thirsty I don't know...

Observation:

$119 for a 4500mah 2s2p pack. I would need 3 of these (6s2p 4500mah total) = $360. Wouldnt be able to fit them in my truck (or any truck pretty much) without ripping them apart and making them into 2x 3s2p packs.

A pair of 5s 4000mah 25-35c Zippies cost me $200.

I sincerely hope these Life appear in different configurations and from other companies, at a much better price point in the near future.

Neil those cells are HUGE. They're almost 1527 sized!
