tinned leads are so stiff that I don't dare (nor should) bend it, very inconvinient for wiring and routing...
Much of the wire stiffness comes from the fact that those leads are extensions of the coil windings and they are made up of large strands of solid wire. Sure, having them soldered together makes it even more difficult. For the best flexibility without sacrifind the windings, I would say provide solder tabs or the scheme that CC uses.

I'd like to see the wire that CC uses, except all black.
