Thought I'd share a couple of my crawlers.

MRC has a mini-Nino chassis and Eritex Heavies with blue-Claws, aluminum shocks and a Li-Saver LVC.

Losi Comp Crawler has a Mamba Max, CCBEC, Titan 550 motor (13t pinion), 3s 1700 mAh lipo, 7995 and 82MG servos.

For the LCC, I haven't had any of the problems people have apparently been having. I re-greased the gears with Gear Jelly, removed the extra two shims from the diffs (they inadvertently installed 2 too many), and limited the steering EPA to 90%. I also re-loctited all the CVD screws/pins. No issues.

I did try a 35t motor at first, but it just wasn't up to the task. It would stall out and smoke if stressed. The Titan 21T 550 is handling it like a champ now.

Chopping block? Are you asking what I'm going to sell next or build next?

Sell: I'll probably be selling my RC18B and Vendetta ST soon. I love the Vendetta, but I have the new E-Revo VXL coming in today and recently purchased a CRT.5 as well, so the Vendetta won't get played with much anymore.

Build: Probably nothing for a while. I just need to put more time into my current collection to make them all just the way I want them. :-)

I meant build, but I've also gotta improve my fleet. My truggy needs some new wheels and tires, body mounts and new RC-M tray, my rustler needs a new body, battery, Rx, and shock towers. My 18t needs a whole slew of things (got it free, just a box of parts but apparently enough to build a truck.) I'm looking to a do a buggy soon as I miss my MBX buggy.

Nice crawlers! Glad to hear the LCC is working well for you. How is wheel speed with the Titan 550 motor? I am planning on picking up an LCC as well, but I was leaning toward a 21.5 sensored system like the Tekin...

The wheelspeed is just right for me. It's smooth and slow, but it has the speed when you need it. You can see the wheelspeed at the end of the second video.

I will probably eventually switch to a 21.5 brushless, but not for a while.

Here are a couple of onboard HD videos. The videos are still processing, so you won't be able to see the HD for a little while. You can still watch them in crappy SD though.

Cool videos! And thats good to hear the motor is working well. Do you have a preference between the MRC and LCC? And what radio are you using for the LCC?

I'm using a DX3R for both. I really like both crawlers. It's a lot easier to find challenging terrain for the MRC, but there's a lot more to the LCC with the dig and what-not. It's just like having the full size E-Revo and mini E-Revo. I like them both for slightly different applications.

There are just so many trucks I want right now, its tough to make a decision on only one...

Last question about the LCC if you don't mind... how is run time with it and what battery are you using? I heard that with the worm drive system, because it is so inefficient, run times are practically half of what they would be with typical axle systems...

The LCC's worm drive is definitely less efficient so the runtimes are less than with a standard system. I only got 30 minutes out of a DualSky 3s 12C 1700 pack the other day, but it's still breaking in the axles. People are reporting lower temps and longer runtimes as the axles break in. That battery really isn't ideal though because it's only 12C. I'm looking for higher C replacements.

Also, crawler batteries are so inexpensive and small compared to buggy/truggy/MT that it's no problem to have a couple small spares in your pocket.

Back to the MRC vs LCC. If they were the same price, I'd get the LCC, but really it's way more expensive right now because it's still new. If cost is an issue, the MRC has been out long enough that you can find them used for a very low cost. I bought a second one RTR for $80 shipped. So you could pick up a used MRC on the cheap right now, then upgrade to the LCC down the road when the used market makes them more affordable. Just a thought anyway.
