Just get the Rcm battery tray.It will protect the pack better and allow you to adjuSt mounting position.

Thanks BrushlessBoy but for $60 for RCM tray & shipping to Australia, I think I'll be drilling a hole in the chassis and moving the Losi tray to its rear-most position. All hole line up except the front one.

I can almost buy a 4s lipo from hobbycity for that price.

Here's an update on my 8ight-T - getting through the build

Body all painted and stickered up

I finally got to drive it today and all I can say is . . . .Oh my f*#king god!!!!!!!

With a 5s1p Neu Lipo this thing is crazy powerful. I was running 14/48 and it would wheelie easily @ 40+ MPH . . .my poor wing got a belting

I did some long speed runs through short, muddy grass and took temps when the battery hit LVC with a Raytek Laser temp gun:

Motor = ~145 (not 100% sure where to measure - hotest part was near where the wires come out the can)
ESC = ~100
Battery = ~ 100

What a machine . . .I'm absolutely stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to everyone thats answered all my stupid questions throughout the build process.
