CRT.5 tires/wheels? -

My stock tires on the CRT.5 are wearing down, and the rims are kinda beat up, so it's time for new ones. But, there's no way I'm gonna pay ~$60 for those tiny wheels (Tower), even with a coupon! eBay has nothing that I've found, and I really don't want to use 2.2" wheels. Any ideas?

Trust uncle chris - They are 12mm hex - you do want 4 rears - front's on a jato use a bearing...

I'm glad I checked before I clicked the BIN button; those wheels are 2.8", which is the stock Jato size. I was looking for stock CRT.5 size. I'm not in a really big hurry, but I hope some eBay chopshop sells the stock tires/wheels pretty soon.

tires any 2.2 rear buggy tire i like dirt hawgs for onroad and Bowties for offroad. I do suggest going to a bigger wheel tire combo. The 2.8 looks amazing on the crt.5. If you want i can even send pictures. |

also going to a 2.2 truck wheel makes it look more like a truggy. Traxxas 2.2 wheels old school and any tire. It opens up your tire selection also going to a 2.2 truck wheel instead of buggy.

Depends I have the ext RCM chassis - 2.8 wheels look trick and work well...
If you are old school on short chassis then 2.2 truck wheels are the normal way to go. |

Still using the original chassis. I tried regular 2.2" tires once and it looks good, but didn't handle nearly as well.
