you say the car ready to run is about 6.5lbs? i have weighed many losi 8 b cars all with 4s 5000 lipos and all are no frill race ready cars.
the lightest one i weighed was at 7.9 lbs and that was with the losi conversion, the lighter mamba max esc and a 60mm medusa motor. the other 5 or so i have weighed were about 8.1.
you list the carbon parts reduce it by 147gms or a little over 5oz. where in the world are you reducing another 17oz from?
i understand that tires and rims and some other parts can make a little difference, but the cars i weighed were running micro pin indoor type tires so they were on the lighter side.
so from my experience, the cars i have weighed with your listed carbon parts substituted would still weigh about 7.6 lbs rtr. to make them about 6.5lbs they would need to be weighed without the 500 gm battery.
please enlighten me as to how you come up with those numbers.

wow you sound like a hater

but i will be nice and help you out alittle

i am only useing a 380gram pack 35c 6cell pack

12gauge wire, no motor bullets

the esc is lighter and fanless too

my caseless spektrum 3500 mini recever is only heat shrinked to save weight

kyosho spurs are alot lighter than stock, the pinion is aluminum not hardened steal

hotbodies aluminum suspension balls

factor in the titanium parts ie shock mounts, hinge pinsking pins, turnbuckles axel pins, hub pins, screws, (im not sure what the weight diffrence is)

Fioroni lightweight diff outputs, hex hubs, axels, and rear flexer all are alot lighter than stock.

requard tuneing foam is 1/4 the weight of proline molded foams

ceramic bearings are lighter than stock

losi light weight diff out drives

no external antena or switches all wires are shortened (every little bit adds up)

the stock wing is one of the lightest on the market, so is the stock body

the list goes on and on, i came up with the weights of the parts just like i got the weight of the buggy, i put it on my digital scale, i didnt weigh everything because im impatient and want to get it done

the best part is there is still alittle more i can do to save weight, just depends on how much i want to spend

semi pro no i am not a hater just a realist. yes you have spent a lot of money buying various lightweight parts that the cars i have weighed didnt have but we are talking about almost a pound here not a few ounces.
you are claiming your car weighs about 680 gms less than the lightest losi 8b i have weighed. that car had a lighter motor and esc combo than yours by about 50 or so gms. but did have a 500gm 4s 5000 pack.
your car between the carbon parts and battery choice will adds up to a 267gms savings.
your motor and esc is heavier than the one i weighed. so you are saying that the various lightweight pins and bearings add up to about a 450 gms or 1lb weight savings?
i can see maybee 5-6 oz but not 16.
the only reason i get into these arguments about weight is i dont want guys putting together a car, throwing it on the scales and be dumbfounded as to why their car weighs a pound more than what some other guys have reported.
if your car race ready is truely anywhere near 6.5 lbs then you have done something special.
