What to do with a submerged NEU ?

I was driving my E-Revo at the house today and it flipped over in a ditch but didn't fall in the water. I jump down in the ditch and threw my Revo back up on the yard and as I was climbing out with the TX in my hand I grabbed a handful of throttle and the truck flew in water and was fully submerged DAMMIT. I pulled the truck out and immediately disconnected the Lipos. I got back to the house and fired up the compressor and blew all the water out and inspected, I found no visable sign of damage(no smoke or burnt smells). Should I play it safe and pulled the Tekno 1515-1Y apart or just let it air dry a few days ??????
Anything else I should worry about ?

A motor is generally ok as long as the metal doesn't rust. Is this a "real" Neu, or a CC/Nue? Blowing out the water on a real Neu with the holes in the can will be easier obviously.

Personally, I'd blow it out thoroughly with the compressor, then spray in a little WD-40 especially on both sides where the bearings are, work the motor a bit (to get the WD-40 all around the bearings), and then use the compressor again.

I was hoping you'd chime in Mr B. WD40 and more air is what It'll get.
It's the Blue Tekno NEU with end caps
Is it safe to assume the ESC and Lipos will be Ok ?

The MMM ESC has a conformal coating so it should be ok. I'd blow it out as well though.

The lipo cells are sealed. At worst, the tabs might corrode. Not sure how well the lipos are packaged so they might not have even gotten wet. I'll leave that up to you whether you want to go through the bother of removing the shrinkwrap, drying everything, and then re-shrinkwrapping.

I didn't think I'd have to worry about the M.M.M. but I feel better asking. The Lipos are TrueRC 8000mah 2s 20C's and I'll just let them air dry a few days and see if there holding H2o and go from there.

Sounds good. If it makes you feel any better, I get my stuff wet all the time, especially in the spring where there is a lot of snow melt and I just get too impatient after not running anything all winter, and I decide to run my vehicles. They don;t get submerged, but they are dripping when I'm done. I just do the compressor/WD40/compressor routine and so far, no troubles.

If you really want to be sure the water is out of anything electric, buy some dry white rice, put it in a rubbermaid container, and drop your motor in for a day or so. The rice will suck 100% of the water out of it.

I use it on electronics all the time, it's very very effective.

I second that! I have used rice to dry stuff as well too! Very effective indeed.

alcohol works too! I recently had a client who spilled a glass of gatorade on her laptop, and so I popped off the keyboard and top half of the body, shot it down with some WD-40 and used a lint-free towel... All the stickyness is gone, its all clean, and i know the water is gone. after all, it's called water displacement 40 for a reason

Compressed air, WD-40, Compressed air, 3-in-1 oil and the motor should be just fine.
