With the switching type bec in the newer escs there is no additional heat, or at least not enough to be of concern

Ok, I believe I've decided on 5S 5000mah lipos for the truggy and a 1600-1700kv motor. I currently have a MMM and Medusa 60x2000 on 4S in my 1/8 buggy and it runs great, but seems to have 2-stroke power band. A small pull on the throttle is not much, but a bit more pull and it over jumps.

The two systems I'm deciding on are:
1. MMM & Medusa 80 x 1600kv on 5S
2. Tekin RX8 & Tekin 1700kv truggy motor on 5S

The MMM & Medusa has been very reliable, but lacks a bit in finese on the race track. I also like the idea of having two of the same ESCs. However, I'm interested in trying the Tekin system forseeing that I can get one with the new rotor.

What do you think?

E-CRT.5 Stock - Sidewinder/4600/2s, buggy tires
E-8ight - Tekin RX8 2000kv/4S
E-8ight T- Tekin RX8 1700kv/5S
