Now I got an idea! Take some kind of rope, and tie the rope and LiPo together. And at the end of the rope you have to hook it up onto some rc-car you got. 5 meter rope should do it. THEN! Drive with fullspeed towards a wall (A minimum of 50mph!) and the just before you hit the wall turn right or left so the LiPo flies at 50+ mph against the wall. Repeat this a few times and after some minutes you will have an RC-car with a little fire behind it

Hook it up to two 12v car batteries in series for 24V?

That's 8v/cell!!!!!

I am sure that I would ignite after that. Lipo's don't really ignite from puncture so much, it's more from being over active, be it sucking too many amps from it, or being overcharged. (more than 4.2v/cell)

Nail gun...the projectile needs to short the cells. Shooting doesn't do much other than make it smolder

Otherwise, build a fire

In a week or so, I'll be videoing a few batts meeting their end in a fire. Might shoot one just to demonstrate also but if you search for shooting lipos, RC-M will deliver!!

I accidently pierced one. It sure caught on fire. But don't be scared , it's not a rocket, more like a colorful, really expensive cone.

I just wanted a reason to shoot the gun, screw the lipo lol. Wouldn't want to waste the $5 bullet on a $ 0.25 paper target. A overpriced maxcramps lipo will do just fine hehe.

i like the car battery idea the best. car batteries can discharge at over 750amps easy and i think a good extreme rapid charge would do that pack some justice.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

Best way I know of to kill a pack is to start with it relatively charged, a dead battery doesn't have any energy to expend, and dead short the battery and get away!!! If you still have a battery connector on it use the matching connector and just use a small piece of wire to connect the two posts. Plug it in and run! Did this with a almost dead 6s 2200mah pack from a heli, lots of smoke and a little fire. I really wish the guy would have let me take it though as there where 5 good cells still.
