The Xcelorin is in the 8e 2.0 Buggy. My truggy is my baby and it gets the good stuff. I definitely prefer the MMM/Neu to the Losi system. The Losi is very notchy and wierd. Brake is wierd, slow speed is wierd. I'm pulling it out very soon and ebaying that puppy.

Dave anything new?? I swapped to the purple springs and droop is now 105mm in the front. Makes a nice difference. Going to try the 30K diff in the center like yours and see if I can get some better rotation out of the truck.

Well, this past weekend I finally roasted a plastic spur...I had lots of races on it and I'm very pleased with how it held up. I replaced it with a new Losi plastic. Luckily it roasted in Q2, I lost the TQ spot but won the 12 min A Main.

I had one of my Neu motors go, or at least I think it went, I mailed it to Neu after it got over 200 degrees and unsoldered a wire. The backup motor is doing just fine.

Loving AKA Cityblocks.

Our points series starts this coming Saturday....

Did you have any issue with the radio tray? I have the same set up and when I went to bolt the radio tray in the loop that goes around the servo was contacting the front center shaft. It is because the center diff is raised a slight amount from the conversion. I'm just curious if you had the same problem.

It's been doing really well. At my local track we had a new guy start coming. At first he was running a Nitro MBX-6T and then a Nitro 8T 2.0. In any case this guy was really next level, beating me week after week. So I had to step up my game and I've won the A Main the last three races in a row! My lap times are better and the truck is running SO well. I'm really impressed. This past weekend we had 10 trucks in the A and there were about 4 guys from another local track - all of which were capable racers.

I'm quite impressed the truck holds up to the amount of abuse I dish out. I still find that the Losi requires a fair amount of regular maintenance. I've upgraded the hubs front and rear to aluminum. I change the wheel bearings regularly. I've rebuilt the center diff a few times, replacing bearings when I do. Knock on wood, F & R diffs have not been touched!

Here are the standings from our points series, which ends this weekend!

Yep, I had the same issue. After the first run I hit it with the dremmel and it no longer rubs.

Curious that he went from a MBX6-T to a 2.0. Wonder why....seems alot are going from the 2.0 to the MBX6-T. I even thought about trying one, but the ones that have driven both prefer the 2.0....so I guess it depends on driving style. Glad you got the setup dialed in. Still running the Ibeams?

I've considered the same. I keep hearing about the Mugen quality and how durable they are...all things which make for a good E-Conversion. However at our local track, 2 fast guys have switched from MBX6-T's over to 8T 2.0's. Both say it is a positive change. I've not had a chance to drive the Mugen so I can't say how they differ.

For tires I'm running City Blocks. Been very happy with them. The I-Beams are a little more grabby and unpredictable. I feel like I can slide with the City Blocks better and recently my driving style has been a little more on the edge so the CBs are less erratic. I just picked up a set of Calibers, I'll try them soon (but not this weekend, going to close out the series with my truck as is...)

Thanks for the Update! I am in one of those Mugen or losi debates right now. I might have to make some laps with jzemaxx's 8t 2.0 and find somebody with a MBX6-T and try it.

I have more of an off power steering need, and I tried the point-and-shoot and power sliding and it didn't work for me. I want a car to round the corner fast and controllable and full throttle after the apex.

Had a really great day of racing yesterday. Our own leader, RC Monster Mike decided to come race with us. He brought along Walter (who many of you guys may know). Monster Mike had just completed an O'Donnell Z01-T Electric conversion for the track owner and he was showing off a simply amazing looking MBX6-T Conversion. He was running his older truck however, the Mugen is being shown at iHobby so it stayed off the dirt. In any case, I was lucky enough to lay down a smoking fast first qual round and TQ'd. Mike won the second qual round but in the main I got out front early and checked out, lead from tone to tone! While he wasn't in our Points Series, I wouldn't have felt much like a champion if I got beat in the last race so it was a nice way to end the series. Here are the results:

http://visionarycomputer.net/rc/09PS/week7.pdf

Oh, and to give him and Walter props, they did both beat me in the buggy class...Mike 1st, Walter 2nd and I took 3rd...but as you can tell from this thread, my baby is the Truggy and I needed to avenge my 2nd place finish at the RC Monster bash this year. I fell much better now...
