Maybe I got lucky with my flm savage, or my rc8... Oh and my truggy while I was testing the first runs the other day too...

I've never had problems running a mmm/neu at zero timing, but would like confirmation on this if it's true, as my buggy and savage both run 0 timing...

I've personally never heard of ANY issues running at 0 timing -- we run them that way all the time, on both Castle/Neus and Neus.
