I ran the antenna coiled up in my reciever box and still had good range. Nomadio react I am making a stub antenna for possibly better range though.

I run a Airtronics MX-3 and have no range issues running mine under the body. I can run it so far that I have a hard time telling what direction I am going.

I run spektrum so the RX wire is already short,so short that it is completely concealed under the body.
