I am sorry guys! I didnt think you had to be a member to see the thread. Basically One member MJBE got the ball rolling with an awesome gesture of giving a UE 7075 billet ext thunder chassis out to the person the can write a brief explanation of why they deserve the chassis. Well Joe the father of Austin the 15 year old with musculer atrophe wrote a short compeling story of how much his physically challenged son loves these rc trucks and would love to build and full blown Supermaxx one day. The members of the forum got to vote who deserves it the most. Obviuosly Joe and Austin are the winners. Some of the other members donated some items also and it snowballed from there, everybody started giving. I donated some hardcore tittanium bumpers, UE body mounts, proline wheels, a high torque steering servo and a ps3 games my 14 year old son wanted to give to him also. I also sent a email out to Scott of Billytrucks telling him of the generousity of the UE crew. He made a big donation of some 7075 billet ext arms, fuel tank, a 2 stick controller austin needs to use because of his disability and some other stuff for the build. Magnolia also from this forum donated a brand new os .30 engine and george16 also from this forum bought some proline shocks @ a discount from nitrostarter and is giving them to him also. Daparrothead is giving him a full blown otb super6 tranny worth about $350 on the bay, among a bunch of other stuff. The donation kept coming in and so far he almost has a full $1500-$2000 Supermaxx all built with donations. The only thing he needs now is a set of ue 1/8 scale diffs to complete the project. If nobody come through on those I was thinking of passing the hat to everyone on paypal and getting him a nice used set of UE diffs. In these hard times with the economy like it is I am glad to see the generousity of people still is there. This is truely an awesome gesture of everyone.
